At the Vincentian we respect the spiritual and cultural needs of each resident. Representatives of all denominations and religions are welcome to visit residents at any time and will be contacted for you by staff on request. We respect the Treaty of Waitangi and the status of the Maori people.
Family and friends are encouraged to support residents at religious services or gatherings.
In keeping with the Catholic ethos of Vincentian Home and Hospital, there are regular Catholic services held on the premises and at St Joachim’s Church. For more information on specific services, please contact our Manageress.
Sister Sue from the Home of Compassion visits the Vincentian every Friday afternoon for devotions and can provide personal pastoral care for any resident upon request.
The Anglican communion is held three times a month at 2pm.
